About Daphne
From a young age, music provided a strong mind/body/emotional connection for me. I followed this passion through degrees in music and education at McGill University and into a thirty-year career as a pianist and teacher. Throughout my playing and teaching career, I've been drawn to understand the inner life more directly - mine, and others'.
My training as a healing practitioner began in 1987 and includes in depth training in Psychosynthesis, Reiki, Intuition Development, Inner Relationship Focusing, Matrix Energetics, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing®. My learning in music, in education, and in somatic therapy is ongoing.
The teaching role took me to the music classroom for twelve years and private piano teaching for decades. I've taught Inner Relationship Focusing workshops and courses, both online and in the Pioneer Valley, annually for 15 years. I also assist at Somatic Experiencing trainings offered by SEI.
Currently, I use the Somatic Experiencing framework as a base for most therapeutic sessions. That being said, my eclectic background allows me to borrow from different approaches to meet individuals in the most effective way possible.
